Half term

African Harrier-Hawk
Half term has been reached! I am intending to take it pretty easy - recuperation from six weeks of hard work is in order - not to mention dealing with a bout of 'Turi tummy' these last few days! Went for a walk round the deserted school this morning (most staff go off somewhere for most of the holidays but I'm saving to have a lovely time with visitors at Christmas) and the first thing I  saw was this African Harrier Hawk on a classroom roof. Hoping to identify some of the other birds I see regularly during the break.
Now Sunday morning. Just opened front door to meet this Hadada grazing a few metres away!
