Another 'Viso'

This weekend we've had the 'viso' for the term - every third weekend of a half term lots of parents come to visit. They either camp in the school grounds or take their children out for a night or two. There is usually some event or other taking place and this time it was the musical production of Toad (based on The Wind in the Willows story). I played in the band which was great fun. Actually the scenery and the music were by far the best things about it - many of the children had been lazy about learning lines, the whole thing had been very difficult to put together and was barely ready by the first of the three performances. The scenery, designed by the art teacher, was inspired - pity my photos don't do it justice.

The weekend also included formal consultations with parents, all crammed into a very short space of time, which coming after lots of exam marking and report writing, felt like quite a marathon for everybody. Next weekend is the duty weekend of the team I'm on, so next breather is in two weeks!
