Sunshine and visitors

This is it! The rainy season is over. People said this is what happens; the torrential rain comes to an abrupt halt and the sun starts. We've had nothing but sunshine for about a week now and it's beautifully warm. Laurence arrived on Saturday and is finding it very strange to be basking in the sunshine, having been huddled in coats and duvets in his student house not many hours before. I have to say, it doesn't feel like Christmas, despite my small 'Christmas tree' now having lights and decorations on! Tomorrow we are off to Island Camp in Lake Baringo. We're hoping there will be lots of wildlife - Laurence has already been impressed with the amount of beautiful birds around the school, and we passed two herds of zebra grazing by the road on the way here from Nairobi.

We've had a great day; walk in the forest this morning and swimming in the school pool this afternoon.So relaxing.
